Accounting capabilities focus on internal control and CPE training for certified public accountants. Profitable Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance provides a blue print for using the COSO and enterprise-risk management frameworks that provides a model for assessing the reliability of business risk and internal controls.

Training programs include Auditing and Monitoring Internal Control, Sarbanes-Oxley Workshop and Techniques for Assessing Internal Control. I also offer consulting services addressing activity based costing and strategic costing for managerial decision making. My accounting emphasis includes virtual accounting systems and business process improvement.

I was one of the front runners in providing guidance relative to Section 404 compliance under Sarbanes-Oxley and effective approaches to assessment of internal control systems. My approach has been to provide guidance on how to conduct self-assessments of internal control processes and systems. A component of my programs is a risk based approach to achieve and maintain cost effective internal control systems.

My cost accounting skills and expertise has positioned me to provide consulting support to manufacturing and distribution companies. This links to my background in supply chain management and process improvement. One of my specialties is lean accounting which is a focus of my book, Dynamics of Profit Focused Accounting. I also have created a training program on lean accounting and applications of lean accounting systems.
