Creating a process and strategy for Building Business Value

Providing change management and coaching support to business owners and CPAs has been the core of my practice. My business advisory and consulting support service utilizes a body of knowledge called Building Business Value (BBV™) which provides a foundation of knowledge and tools to facilitate the improvement of business processes and help business owners achieve greater profitability.

My focus is providing training, consulting, and business advisory services to a wide range of businesses including other CPAs. Services include lean accounting and work flow, internal control processes, supply chain management, and strategic planning and forecasting. A major component of our niche experience is working with and coaching family-owned businesses in the following areas:

  • Ownership transition issues and challenges
  • Succession and Estate Planning
  • Balancing the needs of owners, management, and board oversight

The programs and tools I have developed evolved from working as a controller and CFO, a practicing consultant, a CPA, and hands on experience in operational management. Consulting services range from strategic planning,  business planning and budgeting, activity based cost management, and strategic cost analysis.

In addition to our books, we have toolkits to help guide business owners, CPAs, accountants, and consultants in a wide range of areas from managing in a recession to self-assessment, diagnostic analysis, and strategic thinking.

In addition to business advisory consulting, we also offer wide variety of training programs for CPAs and business owners.

How you do survive the worst economic downturn since the great depression? This is a big question. Many people never experienced the depression or even the big recession of 1981 and 1982. I was a controller of a large corporation back in 81-82. This got me thinking about how could I provide guidance to those [...]

Cash Conversion Efficiency »

The Reality of IFRS »

I am sure many CPAs have seen IFRS and heard there was going to be a convergence from Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to international accounting standards. Succession - Planning for the Future »

One of the key components of succession planning is deciding where the business should be going and who is going to provide the necessary leadership. This process is a double edged sword. It involves planning for both owners as well as the business. Things can get pretty emotional in family-owned businesses. Accordingly, it is very [...]
